Good morning, Lord

Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say this-- those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.

Good morning, Lord, thank You that You have redeemed us from the hand of the foe, thank You for gathering us in communities, little pockets of faith all over this world, set apart to do Your bidding, Your will. Please help us shine where we are, at work, at home, in the stores, wherever, we pray people would see there is a marked difference in our countenance and lives, and when they ask, please help us be ready to answer as we should.

Lord, we pray for the persecuted church in Turkmenistan, where “…unregistered congregations are prohibited from gathering publicly, proselytizing or disseminating religious materials.” Lord, we pray Your power and presence would overcome the oppression in Turkmenistan, we pray for light to shine in this land like never before, we pray Your word would go forth, we pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in the orthodox churches in this land, please fill them with the urgency they need to go and reach the lost. Please give them unity of purpose and help them take advantage of the favor they have with the government to gather, pray, and proselytize.

We pray for the unreached people of the day, the Imragen of Western Sahara, who “form a Moorish fishing and pastoral culture along the Atlantic shores, made up of three nomadic Bedouin tribes. They have strong cultural traditions. Their peculiar method of catching mullet with the help of dolphins is well known.” We pray for these 22,000 souls who dwell in places that are difficult for outsiders to reach, we pray for light to shine in their midst, for Your kingdom to come in to their lives in mighty ways. We pray for salvation to spread like wildfire among the Imragen, please help them know there is only one God, and one Savior, Jesus Christ.

We pray for Barbara Barger, thank You for this special sister in Christ, please help her maintain the relationships You have created for her all over this world, wherever she has gone in Your name. Please bless her brothers and their families in the ministries You have called them to.

Lord, we pray for the spiritual growth of Your saints at Highland Park Christian Church, please help us grow up in our faith, please help us be productive in the fields that are white with harvest, please help us touch lives all around us.

(Special Needs)

Halee Wood – recovering from surgery yesterday. Lord, we pray Ron, and Halee and Reece are doing well, we pray the pain is under control, the healing process is well under way, and the troubles with this tumor are behind them.

Victims of recent tornadoes: Lord, we pray for the peace that passes understanding to guard the hearts and minds of those who have lost much in the past few days in Alabama, Indiana, and other places, we pray Your church would shine as families are ministered to, as lives are rebuilt. Please help the world see Your saints at their best, helping others in Your name, without hypocrisy, without motives, just helping, going forth and doing good in Your name.
