Good morning, Lord

Matthew 16:15
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Good morning, Lord, who do we say You are, with our lives, our words, our actions, our choices, our spending, our saving, our giving? More importantly, who do You say we are? It seems pretty easy to fake Lordship, to maintain a veneer of Christian faith, especially when times are good, but we want to be homogeneous, solid to the core, like You, holy because You are holy (I Peter 1:16), perfect, like Your Heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48). We want to be ready, when trying times come, we want the unrehearsed, unprompted, reflex responses to be Christlike, please help us be ready, to be who You created us to be, in those moments that define and shape our character, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
