Good morning, Lord

50 Commandments of Jesus

15. Judge Not—Matthew 7:1

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

Good morning, Lord, please help us choose wisely yet without judgement. You are the author of life, You know to live we must make choices all the time, like choices about whether we are really helping or just enabling others when we get involved in their lives.

Please help us measure carefully, without hypocrisy, to be discerning yet non-judgmental, wise as serpents yet harmless as doves. You know our natural tendencies, please help us live and think and choose supernaturally, we ask in Jesus' name, amen.

Matthew 7:1-5
Judging Others
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
