Good morning, Lord

50 Commandments of Jesus:

3. Rejoice—Matthew 5:12

Matthew 5:11-12
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Good morning, Lord, I sure hope the reasons I'm not rejoicing, because I'm not insulted, persecuted, and spoken evil of, are not because I'm not a threat to anyone, or not because I am like  a chameleon, blending in to the surroundings too well.

Paul told us clearly, if we live godly lives we will suffer for it (II Timothy 3:12), if I'm not suffering, should I pray for suffering, or wisdom, or what? I realize I only live once (Hebrews 9:27), please help me live, love, and suffer as I should, come what may, for Your honor and glory alone, Jesus, amen.

2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted...

Hebrews 9:27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment...
