50 Commandments of Jesus
49. Give–Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Good morning, Lord, thank You for giving us Your best, please help us give and trust You with our little tiny bests, everything we have is unequivocally Yours, forgive the foolishness of our childlike "it's mine," repeated ad nauseum. Please create new, generous hearts in us, help us be liberal givers of our time, talents, and treasures, all three of these are Your gifts to us, please help us give them away, for Your majesty, we plead in Jesus name, amen.

488 antimetréō (from 473 /antí, "corresponding to" and 3354 /metréō, "to measure") – properly, measure out proportionally which provides an exchange, i.e. based on a true equivalence (literally, "measured back again"). 488 (antimetréō) is only used twice in the NT (Textus Receptus), each time in relation to God's "law of reciprocity" (Mt 7:2; Lk 6:38), "returning back accordingly".
