Good morning, Lord

Matthew 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Good morning, Lord, please help us stay off the broad road, please help us feel when we are on the wrong road, please help us be sensitive to and obedient to your will, no matter what the cost, please forgive us for not focusing on the narrow road and the small gate.

Lord, we pray for the persecuted church in Qatar (where “…those who follow the Christian faith in Qatar must do so quietly or risk arrest, or worse, under the country’s Shariah law. Proselytism of Muslims is forbidden; however, expatriate believers are allowed to practice their faith. Criticism of the Muslim faith or the ruling family is a crime.”) Lord, we pray for those who believe in the country of Qatar, we pray they would be given words and wisdom that no man can stand against, we pray you would pour out your spirit among the believers in Qatar so that many will come to faith in Jesus.

We pray for the unreached people of the day, the Palaung, Rumai of Myanmar (Burma) (who practice “…a mixture of Animism and Buddhism. Many associate Buddhism with a pacifistic lifestyle, but the Palaung in Myanmar have a 40-year history of armed resistance through the Palaung State Liberation Army. Some practice nat worship, nats being the spirits of inanimate objects such as rocks, mountains and rivers, as well as the spirits of deceased ancestors.”) Lord, we pray for a translation of your word to the language of the Palaung peoples, we pray they would be able to know the truth that would set them free. We pray you would open the borders of this country so workers can go into this field that is white with harvest. We pray many among the Palaung would see the dead end of the nat belief and would desire to know truth, real truth.

We pray for Cookson Hills, thank you for this life-changing ministry, please help them prosper and grow and become what you need them to be to continue to help disenfranchised and challenged children.

(Special Needs)

John and Phyllis (with Phyllis’ brother, hospice has been called in, they left Sunday, I’ve been praying for them but should have added them to the prayer earlier) Lord, we pray you would bless the precious little time John and Phyllis have with Chip and his family, we pray most of all that he would come to embrace saving grace and the reality of your love for him and forgiveness in Christ.

John and Nancy (left yesterday for visit with Levi, Betsy, and Laila), Lord, we pray for a prosperous visit for this family, please help them see how you are sovereign in the country where Levi and Betsy live, please help them know they are doing your will and serving where you have called them to serve.
