20. Beware of False Prophets—Matthew 7:15

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Good morning, Lord, please help us listen for Your voice alone, we know there are many wolves in this world, and one day they will be no more, hallelujah! We know Your sheep listen to Your voice (John 10:27), please help us filter out the noise, and listen for and obey the still small voice, the gentle whisper (I Kings 19:12). Thank You for giving us Your Spirit to dwell within, we pray we would be fruitful and righteous and perfected by listening and obeying as we should, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

1 Kings 19:11-12

The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
