21. Pray For Laborers—Matthew 9:38

Matthew 9:37-38

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Good morning, Lord, how can I pray for You to send out workers into Your harvest field, without asking "am I in the field I need to be in, or am I back at house, looking out the window at all the work going on, and doing little or nothing about it?" The harvest is definitely plentiful as You said it would be, and we know there are many who are 100% committed to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth, yet thousands of people groups remain unreached, and so many perish daily who have never heard the Good News proclaimed in their language. This is a very complex issue, but simply put, we can and must do what You equip and call us to do: to prosper where we are, and follow wherever You lead, whether that is next door, to our neighbor, or half way around the globe. You are Lord, we are Yours, please use us, however You see fit, we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
