Good morning, Lord

50 Commandments of Jesus

6. Be Reconciled—Matthew 5:24–25

Matthew 5:23-26
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26 I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

Good morning, Lord, as You said elsewhere, as much as we forgive, so is our forgiveness. Please help us see who we need to be reconciled with, and how we can be a healthy part of that reconciliation process. Please forgive us for not forgiving others, thank You for all You have forgiven us for, may we be as prone to forgive others as You are to forgiving others. Please help us see how we are offending others and hurting Your great cause, we pray in Jesus' name, amen.

Matthew 6:9-15
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“ ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
 your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
 Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. ’
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
