Good morning, Lord

Here is a thought I have been chewing on for a few days:

Sin releases shame

Sin precedes death

Sin requires sacrifice

Genesis 3:7 NLT

At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

Genesis 3:21 NLT

And the LORD God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife.

Good morning, Lord, thank You that there was no shame in this human world until this scene. like evil, sin was not part of Your original creation, so we look forward to the day both will no longer exist. Please help us see how sin shames You and us. Thank You for bearing our sin and shame on the cross, help us see the insufficiency of attempting to cover our shame in our own way, like Adam and Eve and their fig leaves. Thank You for the righteousness we can put on ourselves, in Christ, in who's name we pray, amen.
