Good morning, Lord

Job 19:25-27
I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him
with my own eyes –I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!

(Another personal favorite, "Holy Saturday," Eugene Bertrandt, a Swiss artist, captures so poignantly the dynamic of that first day after the crucifixion. Note there are only eleven in the painting, Jesus is in the grave, Judas is dead, Peter is overcome with remorse, John appears to be attempting to comfort him, to no avail.)

Good morning, Lord, what a morning that must have been for these men, what a glory You would reveal in 24 short hours! Please help us remember how good You have been in the past, so we can trust Your more in the future, please forgive our lack of trust. Thank You for this weekend, please help us share Your love with others, we pray in Jesus name, amen.

(Holy Saturday challenge: invite one neighbor to worship with you tomorrow.)
