Zechariah 12:10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13 the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14 and all the rest of the clans and their wives.
Good morning, Lord, thank you for your grand plan, foretold many, many times in the Old Testament, thank you for the beauty and harmony of your grand plans, please help us make your good news the main priority of our lives. Please forgive us for worshipping those things that are meant to be tools in your hands, our homes and lives and careers. Please help us see how our blessings are meant to be blessings for others who do not know who you are.
Lord, we pray for the persecuted church in Lebanon (where “…the major danger faced by Christians in Lebanon comes from militant elements within the population. Unrest and political turmoil create an environment in which Islamic fundamentalists are allowed to persecute Christians at will.”) We pray for those who are persecuted in Lebanon, please help them see you working in their midst, please help all of us see the great need of those who believe in Islam, please help us show them that there is only one way to heaven, only one way to have peace with you, through Jesus your son. We pray you would help the persecuted brothers and sisters in Lebanon to share their faith and hope with their lost neighbors and co-workers, in powerful and winsome ways.
We pray for the unreached people of the day, the Dolpo, Dolpa Tibetan of Nepal (5,500 people who’s “…villages are located 12,000-15,500 feet above sea level. Their rough stone houses make their villages look like forts. Severe weather has made the Dolpo a hardy people. They have been in Nepal for many centuries, but probably originated in Tibet. Buddhism and the ancient Bon religion exist harmoniously side by side among the Dolpo. The Dolpo people live in remote portions of Nepal, at high elevations. Also, there are few Christian resources available in their language.”) Lord, thank you that all things are possible with you, we pray for this people group, we pray the recordings that have been made of the Gospel in their language would be shared among the entire 5,500 people so that all may hear your Good News for them. We know you own the cattle on a thousand hills, and you also own the hills as well, we pray the Dolpo would know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ who you have sent.
We pray for Sunset Bible Camp, we pray for those who will take care of this place this winter, please help them do their part so this facility will be in good shape for the camp season next summer.
