Revelation 16:5 "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."
Good morning, Lord, please help us to be ready, please help us stay awake, please help us tell others how to be ready for your return. Please forgive us for living like you aren’t coming back, for living like this world is our home.
Lord, we pray for the persecuted church in Syria, (where “…Christian evangelism is not welcome, and missionaries are not allowed in the country.”) We pray the believers in Syria would experience a revival that would shake their country, we pray you would pour out your spirit on our brothers and sisters in this land, please help them see and know you are working in their midst to bring many to salvation.
We pray for the unreached people of the day, the Afar of Ethiopia (who “…claim to be descendants of Ham, Noah's son. The Afar who live in the desert inhabit one of the most rugged regions in the world, known as the Afar Plain or the Danakil Desert. Most of the Afar are nomads who herd sheep, goats, cattle, and camels. A man's wealth is measured by the size of his herds. Rural Afar live in camps surrounded by thorn barricades, which protect them from the attacks of wild animals or enemy tribesmen. They are Muslim, but many hold to pre-Islamic beliefs and customs. They believe that certain trees and groves have sacred powers. Spirits of the dead are believed to be very powerful.”) We pray for miraculous delivery of the Gospel to these far flung places, we know you inhabit the whole earth, we pray the Afar would know that as well, and that they would hear the Good News that there is a savior, Jesus Christ, who came to save them from their sins. We pray the New Testament that is available in their language would be readily affordable and available to all who seek to know the truth that will set them free.
We pray for Campus Christian Fellowship Tahlequah, thank you for this city on a hill, we pray for effective ministry in the lives of students, please help them be there to support and encourage the students at Tahlequah to be different and make a difference in your name among their fellow students.
